Well, I haven't been into the lifestyle for long myself - I met my master online a little over a year ago and only relocated for him a little over half a year ago. I relocated for him from Germany to live with him and when I exited the plane, I didn't know his name, age or how he looked like ;-) but as far as I heard on here, that's not the usual way.
